Endodontists

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Diagnosis and Treatment:

Examine, diagnose, and treat dental conditions affecting the tooth pulp and tissues.

Perform root canal therapy, retreatment of failed root canals, and endodontic surgery when

necessary.

Utilize diagnostic tools such as X-rays, CBCT scans, and dental instruments to assess

patient conditions.

2. Endodontic Procedures:

Perform routine and complex root canal treatments.

Treat cracked teeth, dental trauma, and infections of the dental pulp.

Conduct surgical procedures such as apicoectomies and other root surgeries when non-

surgical treatments are insufficient.

3. Patient Care:

Educate patients on treatment options, risks, and post-operative care.

Provide preventive care and counsel patients on maintaining oral health.

Ensure patient comfort by administering appropriate anesthetics and using modern pain

management techniques.

4. Collaboration:

Work closely with general dentists and other dental specialists to coordinate

comprehensive patient care.

Provide consultations and second opinions as needed.

Offer training and guidance to dental staff on best practices in endodontics.

5. Administrative Duties:

Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and post-treatment follow-up notes.

Write prescriptions for antibiotics, pain medications, or other necessary treatments.

Participate in continuing education to stay updated on the latest advancements in

endodontic care.

REQUIREMENTS:

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), with 3 years of experience in related areas; Dentist Practice

License in WA; and Certificate in Endodontics.
